Before the jump (how to book, unsuitable gifts, etc.)
How can I book my jump or a jump for someone else?
On our website you will find a reservation form for booking a www.tandemovy-seskok.cz. In the reservation form, you can book a jump both with a tandem jump voucher and without one.
The tandem jump voucher turned out to be an unsuitable gift – what should I do?
• The voucher is fully transferable. You can give it to someone who would like to jump, or use it yourself.
• You can request a refund of the paid amount reduced by a cancellation fee according to our Terms and Conditions. This option applies only to vouchers issued by our company.
Safety & fears about skydiving or heights
The weather forecast for the day of my jump is not favorable. What should I do?
No weather forecast is 100% certain, and it is always necessary to keep in mind that it is only an estimate. We usually decide whether the weather is suitable for tandem jumps one day in advance, no later than 7:00 PM, when the most up-to-date forecasts for the following day are available. In the case of uncertain weather, we always try to give the jump the best possible chance, which is why the final decision may be made in the morning on the day of the jump or even at the last moment on site, depending on the current conditions. If it is not possible to carry out the jump safely, we will inform you immediately and then arrange a suitable alternative date, or refund your payment using the same method as the original payment. Safety is always our top priority.
Is a tandem jump really safe?
Absolutely yes! Your safety is our top priority. Here are several reasons why you can trust us:
• Top-quality equipment: We use state-of-the-art parachute equipment that is regularly serviced by authorized technicians.
• Certified professionals: Our parachutes are packed by trained and certified technicians. Reserve parachutes are repacked according to a strict schedule and inspected in compliance with legal requirements.
• Experienced tandem pilots: Every tandem pilot has completed specialized training with an emphasis on physical and mental resilience. You are in the hands of true professionals!
• Many years of experience: We have more than 20 years of experience and carry out several thousand aircraft jumps every season. Throughout this entire time, we have not recorded a single serious incident during a tandem jump.
What if the parachute does not open?
Every parachute system is equipped with both a main and a reserve canopy. As a passenger, you will be jumping with a professional instructor who is fully trained to handle emergency situations. In addition, all our parachutes are equipped with a Cypres AAD device, which automatically deploys the reserve parachute if you are falling too fast or reach a critically low altitude.
Will I be able to breathe during freefall?
Yes. Breathing during freefall is easy and natural. You can even scream if you want to.
What if I am afraid of heights?
Our tandem pilots are trained and prepared to help you with your concerns and to do everything possible to ensure the experience is calm and comfortable. We believe that after landing, you will be so excited that you will want to jump again.
Will I have a helmet?
No, tandem jump passengers do not wear a helmet. This is a safety measure designed to prevent possible injury to your tandem instructor.
Before you book your tandem jump
What is the maximum weight for a tandem jump?
The weight limit depends on the jump altitude:
• From 3,000 to 4,200 meters, the maximum weight is 120 kg. If you weigh more than 95 kg, a weight surcharge is payable before the jump. If you weigh between 111 and 120 kg, your height must not exceed 185 cm.
• From 6,000 meters, the maximum weight is 90 kg.
What is the minimum weight? Can children jump as well?
Yes, children can experience a tandem jump! A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the registration form. Children must weigh at least 40 kg and be at least 135 cm tall to ensure that the passenger harness fits properly.
What is the minimum age for a tandem jump?
The minimum age is 18 years. Younger participants may jump only with written consent from a parent or legal guardian. For jumps from altitudes above 6,000 meters, participants must be at least 18 years old.
What is the maximum age?
There is no maximum age limit for jumps from 3,000 to 4,200 meters. For jumps from 6,000 meters, the maximum age is 60 years.
Can I bring friends to watch my jump?
Of course. We have designated areas for visitors and the general public.
Can I jump in a costume (e.g. Superman)?
Please send us a photo of the costume you would like to use. We will assess whether the costume is safe for the jump. If it is approved, you may use it, but we do not take responsibility for any dirt or damage to the costume.
What should I wear?
Comfortable sports clothing that can be worn under our jumpsuit. Proper sports shoes that will not fall off during the jump are essential. Please avoid flip-flops or heavy hiking boots.
Can I eat before the jump?
This is very individual. Best is to stick to your usual routine. Just don’t overeat. Definitely don’t hold any special “skydiving diet”.
If you get a little nauseous during commercial air travel or on a rollercoaster, don’t eat anything close to the jump time and rather have just a light snack.
What if my jump got cancelled due to bad weather?
In that case we will either offer you a backup date or refund you in the same way you paid originally (e.g., by bank transfer back to your account).
Last-minute jumps are an exception, where we don’t offer you a backup date, we will only refund you.
How do I get to the place of the jump?
The easiest way is to enter the location of our airport into your GPS or mobile maps app and follow the directions.

When do you jump?
Our jumping schedule depends on the weather. Typically, our season runs from early April to late October, and we usually operate on weekends and public holidays.
The schedule may also vary based on the number of people booked for a given day.

How long does it take? How much time am I going to spend at the airport?
When you arrive at the airport, we’ll start by filling out a quick application form together. Then you’ll get suited up for the jump, followed by a 5–20 minute briefing to prepare you for the experience.
✈️ The jump process:
- The plane ride to the jump altitude takes about 20 minutes.
- Freefall lasts 60 seconds (or more than 90 seconds for higher jumps).
- After the parachute opens, you’ll glide for 8–10 minutes before landing.
- After landing, you’ll have time to take it all in, change back into your clothes, and receive your certificate.
Total time at the airport:
While the jump itself doesn’t take too long, we recommend setting aside 3–4 hours in total from your arrival at the airport. This allows for any potential schedule changes due to weather or other factors.
Videos and photos of tandem jumps
Can I have my jump photographed and filmed?
Yes! We will be happy to provide you with video and photo documentation of your tandem jump. No later than 24 hours after the jump, you will be able to download your footage from an online storage using a link you will receive from us after the jump. Your recording will be stored there for one year for repeated download.
How do you record people skydiving? Do you take both photos and videos?
Yes, we capture both photos and videos of your skydive! Our professional skydiver cameramen make sure every special moment is recorded, including:
- The plane ride before your jump.
- Your freefall (they jump just a split second before you to catch it all).
- The moment your parachute opens.
- Your landing.
All you have to do is enjoy the experience and smile for the camera! You’ll get amazing footage to remember and share your adventure.
If I jump with a friend, can we have a shared video?
Unfortunately not. Each tandem passenger has their own unique video and photo footage.
Should I bring my own USB flash drive for the photos and video of the tandem jump?
No need to bring your own flash drive! We store all your photos and videos in our secure cloud storage for one year. You can easily download your content whenever you like, all from the comfort of your own home.
Can I record the jump myself, for example using my mobile phone or a camera?
Unfortunately not. Regulations governing aircraft skydiving do not allow tandem jump passengers to bring any objects on board the aircraft, including personal recording devices. This rule applies worldwide and is intended to ensure maximum safety for everyone on board and during the jump itself. Even if you decide to jump solo in the future, using a camera is only permitted after meeting strict requirements - typically after completing at least 200 jumps and obtaining the necessary experience and approvals. In this regard, safety always takes priority over any recording.
Not even if I have a special sports camera like GoPro?
Unfortunately, no, not even then. We understand it might seem like we’re just trying to sell more photos, but the truth is, safety is our top priority – not only yours, but everyone else’s around you.
Without the right skills, experience, and equipment, having personal cameras in the air can pose a risk to everyone. This safety measure is in place at the best skydiving locations worldwide, so feel free to ask around 😊.
When will I get my photos and video?
We take all videos in Full HD, and editing takes a little time.
- Photos will usually appear in our cloud storage within 1–2 hours after your jump, so don’t worry if they show up first!
- Videos take a bit longer due to editing and are typically available within 24 hours.
Once ready, all your photos and videos will be stored securely in our cloud storage for 1 year, where you can easily download them. The link to your cloud storage will be provided on the certificate you receive after your jump.
If your photos or videos aren’t available after 48 hours, please feel free to contact us by phone or email, and we’ll assist you.
Can you also take close ups like selfies?
Yes, we can! We use a special selfie camera mounted on your tandem pilot’s wrist, ensuring that the look on your face during freefall is captured perfectly. (Check our tandem jumps gallery to see how it looks!)
In addition to the freefall, we also record stunning footage as you cruise under the parachute, taking in the beautiful landscapes. All the footage from both the selfie camera and your personal cameraman will be compiled into one amazing video, so you can relive every exciting moment of your jump.
I can’t find my video / there is someone else’s footage.

Is there a place to store my belongings at the airport?
Yes, we have secure lockers available. You can keep the key in the pocket of your jumpsuit.
Do you also have female tandem pilots on your team?
Unfortunately, not at the moment. Our team currently consists of male tandem pilot instructors. While women make up a small percentage of tandem pilots globally, we’re proud to have a talented female camera flyer on our team who captures incredible moments in the sky.
I have my own license – can I come and jump?
Yes! Please send an email to dropzone@skyservice.cz with:
- a copy of your license
- number of jumps
- medical certificate
Can I jump with glasses?
Yes, we will provide special goggles that fit over your glasses. If possible, we recommend using contact lenses.
Is there Wi-Fi, toilets, and refreshments available at the airport?
Yes, all of these facilities are available for you during your visit to the airport.
